Petition for bankruptcy when homeless?

I read a post on a bankruptcy help website made on behalf of someone who had lost their home and was sleeping on couches.

Their question was 'how do they petition for bankruptcy without an address?'

They probably didn't want to use a friends address because then of course the bailiffs will turn up (though they are not supposed to, they do and besides there is always the perception of it).

So I wondered, is there a charity out there where people can register themselves as living there and collect post? I mean, can you register yourself at a soup kitchen?
Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker

As far as I know (and I maybe wrong:o) the answer is no. On the form it asks where you have resided at, for the greater part of six months before your BR.

Not as far as I know, but you can use a PO address..We lost our house and went through all this (not bankrupt yet) and our local office told us we could use a po address as we are classed as homeless.
