Have you asked her why she is behaving in this way? I would like to think that if I was in your shoes, I simply wouldn't accept somebody acting in such a manner - I would confront her, politely ask if she had a problem with me, explain the impact of her behaviour and tell her in no uncertain terms that I wasn't going to put up with it.
Easier said than done, but if it's so bad that you are thinking of resigning anyway, what is there to lose?0 -
I have hmmed and arrhd about doing exactly that, my only concern is, as she is so volatile if she errupts and makes a big thing out of it and I end up being asked to leave. (Although I can see this on the cards anyway) this would not look good for me in job applications (and benefit entitlement if i'm unable to find anything quickly).
I would much rather get something else first I think and then let them all know, politley of course, why I made the decision to leave a job I enjoyed.

I feel for you OP, I am having some similar problems with someone at my work (doing many of the same things your nemesis is, such as witholding vital information, blaming me for things which were nothing to do with me etc.) I've never been in a situation where I really didn't like a co-worker and where I was disliked so much. I really enjoy the work apart from having to deal with this bozo and constantly having to defend myself. Luckily I know people have made complaints about him in the past so I know I am not alone, but it really does wear me down.
I hope you have a fruitful job search, I think I will wait until after Christmas and then start looking for something else too.0 -
OP I've been in this situation and my advice is to get out. I see you are already applying for other jobs and I think that is the best way forward. I've worked with a manager from hell who did all the things you mentioned, life's too short to work with !!!!!es. Just a quick update - I had a lovely week at work this week, as my nemesis was off :j
