Hiring gold cutlery?

I know this is a ridiculously specific question, and no one will probably be able to answer, but does anyone know where I can hire gold cutlery?
All the cutlery hire places have about 15 choices of silver cutlery (most of which look the same) but don't even offer one choice of gold.
I've been searching for days online and can't find anything! I am most frustrated.

Gosh, this shows how reclusive I am, I didnt even know you could get gold cutlery!
I had a quick look and I cant find any either. Perhaps they dont offer it as its more expensive and it's more likely to go 'missing'.
Sorry, I wasnt much help! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
Ha, that's ok! There must be a reason, maybe that's it.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0

I absolutely adore the look of gold cutlery but can't seem to find it to rent after an intensive Google search. There will surely be options but at the minute none are looking MSE.
I have seen gold plated cutlery for sale for example, or you could send an email out to high-end catering suppliers who might be able to source them for you. But neither of those options are cheap!0 -
It's strange that it's so hard to find. I'd have thought it would be fairly popular. Lots of people use gold in their wedding colours, and it makes everything seem a bit more special.
Maybe I should just borrow sets from friends (if any have it!) and buy a few sets second hand, then sell them on afterwards.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
There are a few sets on Preloved and on eBay, perhaps ask your local auction houses if they ever get any in. I think because they're gold plated the coat wont last very long which would make them an expensive purchase as they'd need to be replaced/repaired more often than stainless steel.
If you have a while to go till the wedding you might have a bit of luck securing cheap sets0 -
