Looking for free fax service

I need to send a fax, is there a service out there like the free text message sites that allow you to do this from your PC?

I haven't used this in a couple of years but there is this:

It is purely text though - no graphics at all

I'm actually looking to send through some photo's and some other docs that have been scanned.

E-Fax

With the eFax Free service, you will be assigned a non local number which means your clients sending faxes may incur long distance charge, With the eFax Free you will only be able to receive faxes up to 20 pages/ month, if you receive more than this limit, your account gets suspended. You also cannot send faxes using eFax free service.

If your computer has a modem you could download some shareware fax software - go to https://www.download.com and search 'Fax' - it should bring up a variety of possible programs.

"If you subscribed for eFax Services pursuant to a special offer granting you a free trial period, your activation fee and initial monthly service fee will be PRE-AUTHORIZED AGAINST YOUR CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD LIMIT (meaning the amounts pre-authorized will not be considered available credit or debit funds in such account) and will be immediately charged to your credit or debit card, without further authorization from you, upon the expiration of such free trial period, unless you provide prior notice (in accordance with j2 Global's verification procedures, as may be established by j2 Global from time to time in its sole discretion) that you have terminated this authorization. Such notice will not affect charges submitted before j2 Global reasonably could act on your notice."

Faxing is free through e-fax, but it will only give you incoming faxes only. You have to subsribe to montly usage to send outgoing faxes....

( I wanted a free or pay as you go out going faxing service and still cannot find one)

You may already be able to send from your PC!

Have you checked the Printer and Fax set up in Control Panel? Double click the printer icon then select >> Set up Fax << from right hand side

You read my mind lol.

Windows comes with it's own built in fax facility but you will probably need the Windows disc to set it up.

I have been using for incoming faxes. It gives a local number for £24

So far so good.
