Sky digital for new customers

Is the best deal to be had by going directly through sky for new customers? Or am i best doing it via a referral?

Hi,
We have just got sky plus installed and we got an offer whereby we paid the £60 for installation and £99 for the box. Then for the subscription we are paying just under £25 per month for all 6 mixes plus the movies premium channels - we got this by ringing the number for Freesat and asking them about deals etc - there was a third off subscriptions - but if we went through the normal sky number they didnt have this offer.
Our friend referred us but they had to ring up after we had had it installed and quote the serial number on our box in order to claim their £50 of M&S vouchersWeight Loss - 102lb0
