Gluten free bread in breadmaker?

Options
My adult DD has coeliac disease and would like to try to bake her own bread in a breadmaker. She has been given a secondhand Panasonic by a friend but it doesn't have the instruction/recipe book with it. She has a new baby so doesn't have time to make the bread by hand.

She is also not confident about cooking so I am looking for a tried and tested recipe for gluten free bread that can be easily made in a breadmaker.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction? Thank you!

  • You could try looking for the appropriate recipe book online or call the manufacturer, otherwise a generic coeliac bread mix might be possible.

I have the SD255 which I looked up on the Panasonic site and got the instructions for.

My lot love the GF spiced fruit loaf.

If that isn't the model then she needs to go to the Panasonis site, click on support, click on downloads, put the model number in which will give you some options, click on view, selecy the I Accept button and away she goes.

It needs to be a model with the gluten free option to make GF bread.

I've tried a few recipes without much success. I'm not sure if it will be an option for your daughter, but if it is, the best results I had were with a mrs crimbles bread mix.

Also, if it's a second hand breadmaker, make sure to give it a good soak and absolutely thorough cleaning in all grooves/holes (in the paddle etc) to remove all traces of gluten.
