3 jobs which one / ones to take?

Hello!

I currently work in an awful sports shop and have been offered a 20 hour job in my local town saving me bus tickets and having to travel a hour to get to work.

All great but i have also been offered a job in a care home for mornings so could do both jobs tbh

but the issue is my father works for the trains and they have an apprenticeship going which lasts a year and after that you go onto full time pay and have a career out of it and have offered it to me if i want it.

I'm 22 currently on a no hours contract so i now have to decide whether to take the job on lower ( like £100 a week for a 35 hour week!) wage or the 2 local jobs which could lead to higher up the ladder but i don't know.

what would you do?

Id go for the apprenticeship then the 20 hour a week job. What do you want to do ? What route interests you the most ?

I'd go for the apprenticeship. The potential earnings are going to be way higher than what you already have on offer and you might not have the chance again.

I would definettly advise the apprenticeship.

I like the idea of being able to be local and seeing my son son still so the 20 hours appeal but the one on the trains is good for the future but is full time so i don't know if my son will feel neglected ( he's only 6 and favours mummy over daddy often) ( I'm the fun one lol)!

To be honest, it sounds like you've made your mind up. You've added details (son) since the first post, how can anyone make suggestions based on half the story?

You're the only one who can make the decision really, as you have all the information you need.

apprencticeship, son will think Mommy is way-cooler than daddy cause she is with the trains

but I agree with Tory70 I think it's the effort you put in when you see kids that stays with them

I think i will take the job that's 20 hours and go for the apprenticeship and if i defiantly get it ( just have to do the usually checks and training) the leave the 20 hour job for it, I'm only earning just over £100 a month at the moment so anything is better than that and it's only for a year then it goes to shift work anyway so i will still see William and be able to take him to school, clubs etc.

Which company? I wouldn't advise Network Rail's apprenticeship scheme for a 22 year old, it's more suitable for school leavers from what I know about it.

Think of your long term future

there's only 1 choice for me the apprenticeship

suffer the low money for 12 months, then your sorted for the future

rather than struggle on XX pound per week
