New baby gift

I know there are loads of sites on here abou gifts for new babys and i have read through them but i wanted to ask you guys what i can get for my step mum and dads new baby boy he was born this morning and is sooo cute.... i wanted to wait unil now so i can get him something personalised with his name and dob etc on i bu i have no idea what to get him..
i also want it to be something that nobody else will tthink to get them as they will get loads of clothes bibs wash stuff ect
i want i to be special as me my step mum and dad had a litle falling out over her being pregnant (long sory although i did post a thread about it a while ago) and have recently made up etc and i want the gift to be special as he is my new baby brother and i want o show their is no hard feeling due to the falling out..
any ideas would be greatly appriciated

We have just brought a personalised picture for our daughters xmas present - wanted something special
Found this lady on face book and i can not recommend her enough!
She is so friendly and really great with helping get details over - can personailse the letter of babys first name and include date of birth, weight, time, name etc.
We got it sent without the frame as going to buy one seperatly - this cost £17. Not sure on your budget but would def suggest it, as its something really special that he will always have!

Try www.gettingpersonal.com they have some lovely items. Both of my kids have these on their walls: http://www.gettingpersonal.co.uk/personalised-pictures/personalised-baby-grow-print.htm £7.99 for A3 size, then I framed them with a simple frame from Ikea.

Another idea would be a Nappy cake. What is your budget? How about a photo session of Mum, Dad & baby?

You should be able to find a local photograper to do a family photo shoot for around £50. I have a lovely lady that comes to our own home and then supplies a cd of all the photos (although she is no longer taking on new clients) Have a look on the local noticeboard section on netmums for advertisements. You might have to register but you dont have to be a parent. Often student photographers advertise on there to do cheap/free shoots to build up their portfolio.

avoid Venture at all costs - they are a massive rip off merchant!

Our best gift was a cuddle-dry towel, although it is not a personalised gift like you wanted. Expensive but it served two babies and is now being used in NewZealand.

I found some convers style boots that can have his name on but these are for Xmas with his outfit!! Thanks for the ideas guys my budget is 20-30 pound by the way x

We were given handmade personalised (with his name) fabric bunting that is a gorgeous decoration I our little boys nursery. There are a few ppl on eBay that do it..... Along the lines of this:
