Were you all at the rainforest cafe today? Shame about the venue used for preschoolers

There was a pesky gorilla that kept on barking/grunting and waving it's arms around furiously. It looked dead scary. Each time it went off, the kids would cry and look terrified, clinging on to their parents begging to leave :( A mum with 2 year old twin boys had to leave before anything started as they couldn't be consoled.

Some parents also left early.

My son would run to the end of the room screaming, "he's going to get me"; "he's going to eat me"!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sorry mustn't laugh but :rotfl::rotfl:

Apart from that, it was good. Loads of food and drink. Good storytelling and the goody bag at the end was fab. My son was given an iggle piggle soft toy to keep (and there was another in the goody bag :D)

Thanks posters as we wouldn't have had this experience without you :T:T:T:T:T

  • We were there too - actually my son loved the moving gorilla and intermittant tropical thunderstorms, but we've been to other Rainforest Cafes before (the London one is probably the most in need of a refresh though!).

We enjoyed the event, but found it was a bit too drawn out, and ended up leaving early as we could barely hear Cerrie and my son was getting a bit bored! Plus it was rather too blatant an attempt to get picture sof kids playing with the toys!

But a lovely prize nonetheless and great for little ones to meet the real Upsy Daisy!!
