I think you have a lot to worry about. As Jarndyce intimated - enforced changes are easily justified and often upheld by tribunals, and you could lose your job in the process. OK, so what if you get paid an impromptu bonus (first one ever) and then get asked to consider and sign a new, considerably worse employment contract?

Have you actually been paid the bonus? and is it a 'conditional' payment - ie only payable if you sign the new contract?
Actually, we had a similar thing where I used to work, although the two items were linked. We hads some staff who'd tupe'd into the company and they were asked to give up certain protected rights in exchange for a one off compensation payment. Some agreed and some didn't. As far as I know the ones who didn't give up their rights just kept them and also kept their jobs. The company was just trying to save some money.
Interesting situation for you though, hope they give you time to think about the new employment contract and don't expect you to sign straight away

It's not a conditional payment, and it seems to have already been decided and be going through the payroll system now (i.e. a separate payment paid ASAP, not waiting until our next salary date).
We have been told to think about the new contracts, approach with any problems or concerns, but they hope we all sign them. Unfortunately their is a benefit that is significantly more valuable to me than anyone else so I'll probably be the only one complaining. I will be approaching to attempt negotiation so we'll see how it goes.

Inless your employer is prone to letting sleeping dogs lie (i.e. they won't enforce the change) be especially prone to refusing if you are the only, or one of a very small number of, hold outs. Albeit tribunals do tend to uphold changes unless they are huge, no matter what the circumstances, if everyone else agrees and only one or two people hold out, they will almost certainly find against you, even if the change is siginificant. It's another factor to bear in mind. Broad general agreement to change by the workforce will count against you if you refuse. It's the opposite of "strength in numbers"!0
