Capital One CC Charges

Have read a couple of threads about reclaiming charges. Had a Capital One credit card for many years but its paid off now. Was going through all my old statements and I've got quite a few late payment charges applied to the account. Could I still apply to reclaim these charges? Account been closed for about 6 months now.
Thanks in anticipation x

Think as long as it no more than 6 years (although I may be wrong) You can still claim them no harm in trying!Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0

as long as you have all the statements and account numbers you should be ok... no harm in giving it a bash

OK, thanks both, will give it a go. As you say, nothing to lose0

Yes, you can claim on a closed account as long as the charges aren't over 6 years old.
I had a refund of £467 in the Autumn from Capital One from a closed account.
Good luck.0 -
Hi Oakdale Minx,
Did Capital One prove difficult with regards to getting your charges back or did they just surrender. Have worked out that I paid £460 in charges (late payment and overlimit fees). Would love to get it back and pay it into my Operation Argos Card Fund. Would clear more than half of the outstanding balance.0 -

little bit of a hijack here, but it saves posting a new thread. I just done all my charges from Marbles with the calculator, when i printed them out, thet printed headers and footers from this site. Is it best to remove them?No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
