Baby shower gift bags

Hi I'm not sure if this is the correct part of the forum to post on, but any advice would be appreciated.
It's my friends baby shower this weekend and I was planning to make some gifts bags up for the people that are coming and obviously the mother to be. I was looking for any advice on what to put in them. I was aiming for a small simple pamper pack so that the mother to be could treat herself a little either just before, or after the baby was born, at the same time as aiming for it to be acceptable for my other friends.
So far I have put in some bath salts and bubble bath. Some nail varnish, a sachet of hot chocolate, some lip balm (got some of those sweetie ones that I know my friends love), and a cute lolly pop.
Does that sound ok? Or does anyone think I need to add anything else.

Also has any one got any advice on what I can get the baby. I've already got her a load of nappies, a hat for the baby, and a towel (although been told by the sound of it everyone has got her those), and a couple of toys for the baby when it's a few months old. I have refrained from buying any clothes and she doesn't know the sex yet and wants some suitable coloured clothing for when it's born and has loads of white/cream/yellow clothes for now.
Also would like to get them something that they and the baby can keep for the future and was thinking about getting them a photo shoot so they can have photos of their family together. Does this sound ok, I don't want to get them the normal stereotypical things that people get them for a babys birth such as a silver teething ring, that just collects dust in the cupboard.
Sorry about the long post and thank you in advance.

Hi Vesper, your gift bags sound absolutely fine as they are :) and you have already bought more than enough for a friends baby, a photo shoot isn't cheap and unless you are paying for them to also buy the photos as well they might not use it as unless they have well paid jobs they might not ba able to afford them, also the mum to be might also have an idea where she wants her photos done (im honestly not trying to rain on your parade here!!).

Is this the first baby in your friends group as you sound very excited :D (I love babies so i dont blame you! :D)

Thank you. It isn't the first baby in our group but its one of my closest friends that lives down the road, the rest of the group are all over England. So everyone is really spoiling her as she also doesn't live near her family.

As for the photoshoot, it is a friend of mine that would be doing it, that is lookng for experience, so is doing me a very good deal and in fact is cheaper than buying something like a silver money box that will never be used. And comes with the photos printed. It's just an idea at the moment am going to see if it is something she would like first.

Your party bags sound great, plenty in them already. And all gifts sound lovely too - if you can get mates rates on photo shoot that is a great idea. One thing we were given for our little boy was personalised (with his name) handmade fabric bunting - there are people that do it on eBay. It's a decoration in his bedroom and gorgeous. Obv you can't get til baby is born and name decided.

Are you doing party games at the shower? We had some really fun ones at my baby shower so let me know if you would like any ideas?
