dreambox is very good, but you may need fair amount of linux OS knowlede. It will do all legal and illegal singing & dancing0

cant commet on the box but they are legal if you are paying the subscription frees for all the pay channels it recieves and i mean all which would add up to alot if include all the random ones that cost like £4.99. also i have heard that should you be using this box you should keep your original box connected as the cable companies send signals out and if yu box doesnt reply they might come knocking on you door0

do they only work on cable or can you use sky dish connections0

You need to know nothing about linux with a dreambox..... just aufait with ftp..
but if you just going get a dreambox to point it at 28e its a waste of money...
they are legit..
starview and eurovox are cable boxes for recieving fta channels..BSC Member #97- Discharged 4/2/09

There seems to be a lot of info about dreambox but not starview, am I right in thinking the Dreambox wins as you can add a hardrive, whereas the others you can't (talking about cable boxes only)0

Dreambox 500c is for cable tv, 500s is for satalite tv.
BE WARNED - There are LOADS of fake boxes doing the rounds at the moment, especially e-bay, best to buy from an official retailer for about £140.
They are legal to own and use for FTA channels, but once you start decoding other channels then you are in legal trouble.
They are very easy to flash with images if you know where to look for them, and they can also be used for streaming music and films, oh and you can connect them to a NAS drive and record TV to hard drive too!I'm Not A Dog But I May Be Mad0 -
Oh and I think that starview firmware isn't very readiliy published so people are not bothering to write for them. There are great websites to read up on all of this, but I will not publish any as they may well break forum rules due to the other content you find on such sitesI'm Not A Dog But I May Be Mad0
