Help with one last debt then debt free !!

I got my file yesterday and most of my debts have gone from my file as they are over 6 years old then only one left is to avon cosmetics from 2007, I think it went to a collections agency but just says avon on there.
What is the best way forward for this, is it worth at this stage offering less ??

I often see Avon on Experian reports although my clients haven't mentioned them. It is probably not being pursued by anyone so your options are (1)to leave it alone and it drops off your file in 2013 or (2) contact Avon and offer to settle. They ought to be open to a full & final settlement deal. I'd suggest heading your letter 'without prejudice' or doing the initial negotiations by phone so as not to acknowledge the debt from a limitation act point of view. Make sure you get details of any deal from them in writing.
