Can husband claim bank charges back?

A bit of a long story but here goes, 8 years ago my husband split up with his wife, afterwards he found out that is wife had approx £35.000 worth of debt loads of this was charges with mortgage etc.
When he originally left he was paying the mortgage in lieu of maintainance and then she called the CSA therefore had no choice but to stop paying the mortgage and in time there was approx £7000 worth of charges on the mortgage alone. When the finances went to court the house was sold just before it went up for repossion and the debts where paid and what was left was divided between them both.
The question I am really trying to ask is can he make a claim on his own without her involvement ? as he as now not seen her for a number of years as well as unfortunatly his son and really would not be viable, the other thing which I am not sure whether this as any impact but alot was in his name first and hers after (she forged his signature alot, including 2 x £10.000 loans)
Thank you in advance xxx:T

I'd have thought so. It's been a while since I claimed back bank charges but I don't remember hubby signing anything.
Maybe ask on the bank charges sub forum for someone who's done it recently. You have to start to finish.
