JSA Claim

My partner is currently on dla and esa. I have recently been made unemployed and going to apply for Jobseekers Allowance until I find work and wanting to know if my partners benifits effect my claim.

Thanks

Probably best posting on the benefits board.
If you're claiming JSA contributions based then no, if it's income based I'm not sure.
  • You can always get added on as a partner on the ESA claim. Another income based claim i.e JSA will be taken into account financially.
  • Loobysaver Is absolutely right. If you go on your partners claim for ESA then you will receive the same amount as JSA but you dont have to go into the Job Centre every 2 weeks.

How long has she been claiming ESA? Has she had a medical yet?
