London Theatre Tickets

Hi, I want to buy some tickets for my family to come to the theatre in London. The children want to see Mary Poppins, but I'm open minded.
Where's the best place to buy tickets, preferably on-line, but possibly over the phone?
We live outside London, so booths on the day are out for us.
Many thanks, Penny. x

Ooh...depending on how far out of London you are, a lot of train companies do 2-for-1 tickets to ceratin London shows but you have to visit your local train station and pick up a leaflet. I live near a Connex network and know for a fact that they offer these deals.0

Mary Poppins is fantastic.
You will find links to many reputable ticket agencies at https://www.theatremonkey.com
Also, Theatremonkey has the best seating plans on the net for London venues.0 -
Hi there.
Not sure how old your children are but the information on theatremonkey.com states "The producers advise that children under 3 years old will not be admitted to the auditorium. The production is also NOT recommended for children under 7 years of age - parental discretion is advised. The theatre guideline is that children who attend should be capable of "concentrating on the production for the full 2 hours 55 minute running time". They also ask that parents be aware that staff can ask them to remove disruptive children from the auditorium."
As the above poster suggests, go to theatremonkey.com first to get the "lowdown" on the shows you're interested in. The site gives you details of ticket agencies as well and the essential "seating plan guide" as to what seats are good/to be avoided.
I often find that seetickets.com can be a reasonably cheap source of tickets as their booking fees are often lower than others.
hope this helps0 -
I always to to the actual theatre and get the restricted view tickets. They are cheaper, and are usually okay seats anyway.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

National Rail are doing a 2 for price of 1 offer which includes for instance Guys and Dolls:

Anyone tried the 2 for 1 offer? It involves giving a Promo Code when you book by phone on the numbers given on that site.0
