I went on to amazon the other day to buy some new kitchen knives. Rather than selling the knives themselves, they linked me to one of their marketplace shops.
I ordered the knives (cost £23) and went to the checkout. I was staggered to see that I was going to be charged £12 for postage!
I then Googled the company in question and found I could order online from them. They charged me the same for the knives but only charged £4 for postage!
I thought I'd warn others and wondered if anyone else had had a similar experience?

Yes I have seen this before and also on Ebay but the opposite way round although I am sure it works both ways, its best to shop around even with same company.0

Important with the Amazon Website Make sure it is with Amazon themselves (no postage over £15) or with an Amazon Marketplace supplier (postage as per a list which is available to view from the website). Frequently there is the option of one or the other in which case make allowance for Marketplace supplier postage.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -
I ordered a memory card for my camera through marketplace and was charged (I think) 4 quid postage for something the size of a stamp and the weight of a butterfly but was still cheaper than the alternatives!0
