Soya flour recipe for a breadmaker please.

Options
My mother-in-law is trying to go gluten-free and so she is looking for a recipe that she can use in the breadmaker that uses soya flour.

Can anyone help please?

  • I think you'll find Soya flour on its own doesn't make good bread, plus it's very expensive compared to other flours - like Rice flour. My sister-in-law is on a wheat-free diet & we use Doves Farm wheat-free flour - the recipe for breadmakers is on the packet - involves milk, eggs, salt, sugar & yeast. The bread has a different texture to 'normal' bread but has a nice taste. You can get Doves Farm in any decent health food shop & some larger supermarkets.

Ceoliacs (sp?) can get bread and bread flour on prescription from their GP on the NHS. Maybe its worth looking into what bread flour they prescribe and sourcing some for her?
