  • Personally I would look at the White Knight one. The A rated item is a slow dry cycle, but it does do faster cycles if required.

You might want to consider other driers from White Knight. They tend to be far more reliable even than premium brands, such as Bosch.

All White Knights have sensors, so stop heating when the clothes are dry (good for energy efficiency and safety)

Whatever you do, make sure to clean the filter after every use - failure to do so is a major cause of domestic fires.

    Good luck.
  • i agree with you that White Knight are reliable
the compact White Knight tumble dryer we have now is 16 years old,
    no probs with it
just need a bigger tumble dryer now as family has gotten bigger
more washing more drying to do
so thats why i needed the advice
    thankyou
  • any other better White Knight tumble dryer's?

White knight have a range of tumble driers but i dont know where they are all stocked, they are made in britain and cheap and i would say very reliable.

  • I have a White Knight GAS tumble dryer, no frills, but excellent economy. Slightly costlier than an electric one, £50-80 to professionally install, but will pay in one year if regularly used. It is also considerably faster drying than an electric dryer. I would wholeheartedly recommend it.
  • Ive had a bosch tumble dryer for years now. My sister have ther brands nd they have broken down at least 3 times in the same time i have had mine but mine is still going strong. Comet have a good deal on one at the moment

We have a Creda one, had it 3 years now and works a treat dries really fast too, cost aroun £109 from Currys not sure on price nowadays tho.

Only problem i had recently was the filter broke but luckily currys sent me a letter asking if i wanted an extended warranty for £20 for 3 years which i accepted and instantly claimed for a filter which is £16 to buy anyway
  • I have a hotpoint with a sensor dryer and never use that facility as I found that it always left the clothes slightly damp - I always had to put it on to the normal cycle for a bit to finish them off.
  • big thankyou for advice and tips :-)
