Three Months Free DVD rental with Lovefilm

As a Cristmas present, I received a couple of promotional vouchers from Lovefilm.com. My girlfriend received some too and a couple of them have the same code: LFZZ98762.
I have already used one and assume it could be used again.
It allowes you to rent 2 DVDs at a time for 3 month.

cheers, appears to have worked for me, has reactivated my old account for 3 months - it did seem to want to default to the £5.99 i disk, 2 in a mont option but have gone for unlimited 2 disk one - assume can downgrade at end of 3 months?

It's all about good control. Just make a note of your expiry date. I've been getting free trials from them for months now

I sent back my dvds within the time specificed,and cancelled my acount but they still sent out more dvds and charged me - be careful!

I have also got a spare code for three months LFZZ98777 (I selected the most expensive option) I have had free trials in the past but this still works as it is a gift voucher. I have had no problems with my card being charged after cancelling, just ensure you send all DVD's back in plenty time then clear your selections so they can't send any more although they will send an e-mail to advise your list is empty and to add titles but just ignore it and cancel (if you cancel online after 11pm you should not have to phone up the number to confirm cancellation). I normally cancel around 5 days before the trial end so to be exact I don't quite get three months but it is better than the hassle of trying to claim back money charged to your card


My only fault I had with Love Film as at times they can be slow sending new discs out for instance I had a disc show as returned on the Friday but new disc not sent until Monday also at times even when you have a healthy amount of films in your high priority list they sometimes send you a title from your lowest priorty but hey can't complain too much as I have had quite a lot of free DVD rentals from them.

if you have already had a free trial or a fully paid up membership just sign up with your old details, don't worry you don't get charged (check the details in your account section and it will show next billing date three months away)

I've only been registered for a few days but I got 2 discs sent out the day after I ordered them. I sent them back and 2 days later had another two. Fantastic service so far and I will almost certainly continue with them once my free trial has ended.

One question though - I want the 2 discs at a time option which they charge £12.99 for. The thing is Tesco charge £11.47 for the same package and it still goes through Lovefilm. Anyone know if Lovefilm would allow mw to go through them but still pay £11.47? It seems a shame cancelling with them only to opwn another account through Tesco.

With the dates beware.
there is nothing like a date or terms and cons apply on the wouchers.
It's actually happened to me that one code has been declined be them already.

I've been a bit cheesed off with lovefilm
Although I'm supposed to be receiving 3 movies at a time they haven't always been consistant.
Often with all 3 returned they are not always so quick to send new ones straight away
Sometimes they send them out the same day they receive others which is good, but then sometimes they dont and you can wait two or more days untill they do. Last week I had all three sent back and they sent 2 more after waiting a whole day. the third one never came at all.
By friday with no 3rd DVD I decided to cancel my account. I posted back the 2 I had and emptied my list.
My billing date was tomorrow so I planned on cancelling my account today.

I got through to them easily on the phone and found them suprisingly more helpful than usual. This was before I told them I was wanting to cancel.

I was offerred another 3 months at £14.99 and accepted.
Although I have been a bit disappointed with certain aspects of their service I have the feeling they may be improving so I'm giving them another chance.
I guess the 3 month offer swung it
For other disgruntled lovefilm users it may be worth a try to cancel by phone close to your billing date. You may get the same offer
