Wife wants one of these for her birthday. Anyone know of cheapest way/place to get them from?

You're lucky if they have stock though.
Don't bother with the accessory kit either (included in some bundles), it's a waste of money ^_^

gamestation have not had them in for a while along with virgin,woolworths and some other big stores but notice that some argos shops have some in now after there new book came out
doing a specail at the moment

Cheapest price I've found is, if you can find a handy student, get them to buy a DS lite from Virgin Megastores for you. Usual price £99.99, with £10 student discount, £89.99, leaving you with a decent amount of change to buy a good game from somewhere rather than the somewhat iffy games you usually get in "bargain" bundles.

Apparently they don't discount hardware I.E. consoles.

The small print on the leaflet they gave me [couple days before Christmas] said specifically that they did, I also checked with the staff and they didn't have a problem with me getting a DS Lite with a discount. The receipt too says "student discount 10%".

If you're right, maybe this is a New Year policy of theirs; or maybe I just got lucky with nice staff behind the desk!

Toys R Us...special Web only deals, and usually really good with stock...we got DS Lite & accessory kit + 'Open Season' for £104.95 ! Lots more options for different games in bundles tho'!

I stand corrected - I managed to find one in Virgin Picadilly after giving up on Brighton & trawling around London after work - they had two left.
Go the student discount as described too - thanks guys :cool:
Also may I recommend purchasing games from abroad as DS lites are compatable worldwide - no PAL/NTSC/Region type things. Beware of dodgy pirated ones though.
