  • I've got a 20gb iPod and have had no problems, iPod minis and nanos have had a fair few problems but it seems to be the "proper" iPods are great, mines is really robust though i would advise buying a cover with a screen protector as the screens scratch quite easily. I would say though go for a big one, its better value for money, the wee ones are a rip off and are fragile. Plus if you buy direct from Apple you can get it engraved, mines has my name and address so if its even lost or stolen I can prove its mine and it wont be easy for anyone to sell on eBay :D

  • We have just bought one from ebay (80gb video) for £175 plus £9 P&P from a company with 99.3% +ve feedback on over 18000 sales. They come with a 1 year manufacturers warranty. Don't be afraid of ebay when you can check out the sellers. There are obvious scam-merchants there, but are fairly easily avoided.

Try Currys - 4gb, although it's £129 they're doing a free skin (worth £14.99 and car charger similar value) - then there's a 5% discount, plus go through quidco and it brings it down to about the £118 mark with the freebies. It depends if you'd planned on buying a skin - that's what made it worth it for us.

    haha, that thing's lame.

Should look at the Zen Vision M though.

Doubt there are so many "refurbished" on the creative site, though.
