Frosted glass table.

Options
I know if anyone has a solution to this it will be you lot lol.
Basically I bought a second hand table with a glass top with 4 opaque squares like a placemat at each seat position.
I'm not doing very well discribing it but the opaque squares have greasy finer marks all over them,I have washed with a tooth brush and hot water with sugar soap in it but they are still there.
Any ideas welcome ladies,oh and I tried bicarb and vinegar together.

neat washing up liquid or stardrops? then sponged off with plain water and buffed up with newspaper or paper towel.

    What the previous posters said.

Although, I used Astonish hob cleaner and a microfibre cloth on my glass topped coffee table the other day. It came up lovely!

Thanks ladies I did the stardrops and the glass cleaner but no joy,the opaque squares are rough to the touch underneath and this is where the finger marks are.
I'm toying with the idea of respraying with opaque glass spray but i'm thinking the grease will prevent the paint covering if you get what I mean.
Hair spray, white spirit, acetone are all on my list for tomorrow but I will be gutted if I ruin the squares, hubby reckons he can redo them if needs be,just hope he is right that's all.
Thanks anyway folks for all your help.

Don't use white spirit as it's oily residue will make things worst, methylated spirit will remove greasy marks and dries in seconds.

I used to have a table very similar by the sounds of it when I was in England, it was Ikea. Anyhoo, I also had the same issue, and found rubbing cornflour or talc into where the fingerprints were took the grease off, then I was able to buff with a clean cloth.

Thanks everyone I tried all of the above, apart from the methylated spirits but they are still there large as life, might make a paste up of bicarb and vinegar and leave all night see if that helps.
No more today as my hands have swollen up like inflated rubber gloves as I have got psoriatic arthritis and have over used them again.
Thanks anyway ladies keep them coming as no suggestion is a silly one as it may just work.
    Thanks.

You could try a warm iron through kitchen paper to see if that will draw the grease out?

    .... and we're not ALL ladies!!! ;)

Thanks I will try that tomorrow, something will shift it eventually and sorry about the ladies comment, tablet fog is my only excuse i'm afraid as I am well aware how able men are at these things, my poor hubby does 80% of the house work in this house the last few years so please accept my apologies again.
I'm off to noddy land now I hope so night all.
