Coat bought yesterday is cheaper online.

OK, so I bought a coat for my DD yesterday - £65, the dearest one she's ever had, but she loved it and it's really warm for winter - she's to walk a mile and a half each way to school so wanted a decent coat for her.
Looked online for coat so I could send a link to a relative instead of trying to describe the coat - it's only £39 online today!
Any way I can get my money back, or do I accept I was happy to pay £26 extra for it just yesterday?
Thoughts please!

Just take the coat back to the store, or send it back for a refund, depending, then order it again online. That's what I would do anyway!0

It should be easy enough to return it to the shop and reorder online, your dd will have to wait for delivery obviously (how much is P&P? does that make a difference?) but all in all I think its quite a saving (the price of a nice hat and scarf set;)) but then of course that doesnt take into account the "cant be bothered factor" which we all suffer from occasionally, so if its easy to get to the shop and P&P isnt too much, I'd return it - hth:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Depends on where you bought it from. You have no legal right to return it for a refund unless it was faulty.Thinking critically since 1996....0

Phone them and ask. Many places will part refund as a goodwill gesture since it's such a short space of time. Well worth the query imo.Herman - MP for all!

Ah yes, I hadn't thought of that...but then again, I have never had any problem returning things for a refund, so maybe I've just been lucky! See what the T&C's say.0

Thanks I'm off on hols this week so will pop down tomorrow and see if they do a part refund - as someone said £26 will buy a nice hat and scarf set ( or some warm tights - a fiver a pair for wooly ones now she's into adult sizes - eek!)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I find that quite unlikely and comparing the price online and instore to someone working in store is not likely to work. Having different prices online and instore is perfectly legitimate and a lot of stores operate this way.
You should just return instore for a full refund and buy the cheaper one online.Thinking critically since 1996....0
