My IFA is recommending a secured loan with this company. However, after searching MSE (and Google!) I am a bit wary of going ahead.
Anyone had any recent dealings with these guys? Anyone had a positive experience?

Never take out a loan with Blemain Finance!
I worked for 2 years for their in-house firm of solicitors and Blemain are horrible. They will not come to a payment arrangement with you if you ever fall into arrears, merely offer you a new, larger loan to pay off the original loan and give you a bit of money in your pocket..... then you default again, and the same happens until you cannot afford to repay them at all. They are ruthless in issuing possession proceedings and will want Possession in 28 days. If you are lucky enough to get a suspended order, you will still be charged £35.00 every month for being in arrears and £35.00 for every letter they send you, even if you adhere to the Court Order.
If you ever wanted to redeem early, the charges for doing so will be so massive that it wont be worth it.
