decorating christmas baubles

Hi everyon

im hoping someone will understand what i am trying to look for here, a couple of years ago me and my fiance had just bought a new house a couple of months before christmas and our friend's parents bought us a really nice christmas bauble that they had wrote on a lovely message for us - now i think it would be a lovely idea as a lot of my friends now have thier own house and would love to get them this as a christmas present, but where do i search for one or what do i search for. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated .
Thanks
Oh and i cant ask our friends parents as they live away now and we dont really see them very much

Difficult to say really, you could buy clear ones/plain ones and decorate yourself. Alternative is to search, *bay.x

Home Bargains have a set of two baubles to decorate (pot type) for £1.59 at the mo. You get paint with them too. I bought them to decorate with my (then will be) two year old (to keep forever and embarrass him with when he is older!).

    You could alsotry Arts Cow

This is an American site (I think) you can make all sorts of personalised stuff on here - I did do christmas decs on here too. It is really cheap, always has loads of offers, good quality and arrives within about two weeks tops.
  • I found ours last night and it is a glass bauble, anyone know where to get cheap glass baubles from and what would i use to write on it - glass paint or is there a special pen?

    Hi rubysmummy.
Have a look at this on this thread, Christmas Crafting Ideas by Flyingpig - Its Good To Share.
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2766466 post #19.

Helen has written a greeting on a slip of paper and put it inside a glass bauble. May be easier than trying to write on the bauble itself.
  • Crafty Crocodiles do a multi pack glass pen (on offer) or single pens/liners if that helps?

I think this is a lovely idea and would like to do something like this for my foster daughters new baby for her first christmas.
Don't think my hands would be steady enough to hand paint a bauble and couldn't find any section on artscow site about it -am I looking in the wrong place maybe ?
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
