Glitzy Secrets Tiaras

Has anyone worn a glitzy secrets tiara for their wedding? Was it comfortable?

The reason I ask is I completely fell in love with a Richard Designs one in the shop I bought my dress in, it was beautiful and so comfortable!

But, it was £92!!! Argh!!! There's just no way I'm spending that money on it.

So I keep looking at Glitzy Secrets, who seem to have really good reviews and I'd be looking at half the price. I am considering either the Exquisite Beauty Side Tiara or the Heirloom of Beauty Side Tiara or the Starlet's Heirloom Side Tiara.
I am worried though that it won't be comfortable. How flexible are they?

It's to go with this Morilee Dress and needs to be a side tiara to balance the draping on the dress and my side fringe. It needs to really sparkle to pick up on the dress.

Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

Could you just order one and wear it for a day with the tags still on and see if it's alright? They do returns provided the item still has the tags on. HTH
  • I wanted to post mainly to say I love your dress!! Don't know how comfortable the side tiaras are but thought I should vote, so I think the Scarlett Heirloom would suit your dress the most.
  • Hiya, I wore the exquisite side tiara and loved it! It really caught the light and sparkled! By the end of the day it was slighly uncomfortable and I had to move it around so that it wasn't digging into to the same place (but I had it on from 9am till midnight so I think any tiara would have).

I had that headband style side bow one and it was comfortable all day. Found my one on ebay then resold it there (kinda regret not keeping it).
  • Thats a gorgeous dress.

I have a side tiara from Glitzy secrets (one with pearls on, I thinks its heirloom of pearl) and I absolutely love it. I havent worn it yet but trying it on it feels fine. It doesnt feel like it will dig in, although I do have very thick hair that will probably cushion it a bit anyway. If you are going to go for one and have a while I would sign up to their newsletter, I did this and then waited and then got a 15% off code. Im sure you could send it back if it wasnt right.

No advice on the tiara but LOVE THE DRESS! is it satin? wow.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
  • I had the side tiara with pearls on it.
I did find a problem towards the end of the day, the right hand side end put alot of pressure above my ear and I had a dint there for a couple of days afterwards. Nothing the alcohol didnt numb tho.
I do have trouble finding hats to fit and i have think hair too so that might have been the problem

    Thanks so much everyone!

My dress... it is satin and I love it too!!! Had a total wobble which is why I went back to try it again, but I love it sooooooo much!

Tiara's... Thank you for all the advice. I think I will keep an eye on ebay (Not fussed about second hand!) and sign up to Glitzy Secrets as suggested. I could wear it with the tag for a day when I'm at home actually and test run it, good plan!!!

Nice to hear that they are lovely and sparkly too, so THANK YOU all!!!

    I love this forum!

I bought a few bits from Glitzy Secrets to try at my hair trial as I hadn't decided what look to go for. I ordered a tiara and some hair clips and though it was all lovely I did think that the hair clips looked a bit flimsy and that I could have something similar, for much less money, at Accessorize. But I love the tiara! So I kept that and returned the rest, which they seem to be ok with you doing as one of the options on the returns form is "Ordered several items for choice".

The thing I wasn't too keen on about the website is that there aren't any pictures of the pieces on heads/in hair - there are a few to be seen on the "real brides" page, which is only helpful if someone's wearing the piece you want to order. I just found it hard to get an idea of size and scale and how it would look when worn. The tiara I ordered was very different to what I thought but I actually loved it more in the flesh!
