I'm quite happy that they have it in the half term because it means it doesn't clash with the school run
(you do have to be there early if there's anything in particular that you have your eye on).
Lucky for me though that Thursday is my OH's day off so I can sneak out early whilst everyone's sleeping:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -
am i the only tight a$$ around here thinking 50% still too expensive?
you all seem so excited and i'm thinking hmmm only 50% off
maybe i've been spoiled by the tesco 90% sale (not that i got much in that either)
hope you all get lots of goodiesGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -

I agree celebrate.
I have got all my kids pressies for at least 75% off, some even 100% off, including a lot from tesco.
Although sainsburys is good for those toys that DONT get reduced elsewhere like sylvainian families and stuff.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -

me too
i thought the same . 50% is still too expensive for me
but maybe is because my lo is only 2 .5 years old. when he go to school maybe then he will start demanding all the latest toy.
celebrate i do not think you are tight, just money saving really. after all rrp, recommended retail price are way over-inflated . i feel better to buy when things are 70% off, especially when it comes to toys , my little one only play once and twice with it then straight into the toy box, never be seen again. after all he got 2 best toy in the world (mummy and daddy)0 -
Yay - my hubbie is actually off work that morning so can look after the boys for me. I went to store for 7.30am last year and everything was reduced. A few people had 3 or 4 trollies piled high, but on the whole it was relatively calm. I remember the poor SA's could not get the cages out quick enough, but were really helpful and going into the back to look for things for people.
I largely got stocking filler items and a load of small lego sets for around 5.00 which have been handy in the present drawer for parties this year.
At my local store there was more for pre school children than the older ones so I did not get any main presents, but it was still worth going.
I remember the first year that they did the sale it was online too and I had a bike, little tikes coupe car and all kinds in my basket that dropped to 50% at the strike of midnight. No such luck last year though and I think it will be the same this year, probably as the site could not cope with the traffic (I still have nightmares about the boots 75% off disasters and don't bother on line now).0 -
