Hey all, provisionally booked our date for next year! 15th Sept so very excited.
We're only planning on having close family to the Registry Office and then looking to have a meal in a resturant somewhere and then spend the night together before going off on our honeymoon.
As we're both students hoping to spend as little as possible - do you think you can have good memorable photos etc without paying/having a photographer? ie just getting everyone a camera, making time to take pictures etc?

I do remember reading a scheme where a company will rent out a mass of digital cameras in place of the disposable cameras people sometimes put on the tables.
A lot of people's favourite photographs are ones that the guests took - I'm sure you will capture some lovely memories that way 0 0

I agree that some of the best photos are what people capture.
We had 3 photographers. 1 was from a company offering 1.5 hours service for nothing, they'd use our photos on the website. Must say they were the worst quality photos from the day, soooo glad we had 3.
1 was a friend of my now mother in laws who wanted experience of photographing weddings. His were really good, captured some lovely shots.
Another was lady who did the whole day for £50, she was excellent and had only been set up as hobby since Dec. She got some great shots as everyone got ready.
I wouldn't of obviously paid for 3 photographers but as two were free and the lady only wanted £50 for the whole day thats why we did it.
But when all 3 photographers had gone and the weather had brightened up we stepped outside for people to throw confetti and they are some of my favourite shots just on peoples own digital cameras. Finally managed to get one of us kissing, covered in confetti and some great ones of us laughing with confetti all over us.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160
