the best deals i have found so far is £134.99 inc del from amazon
for a black base pack

also at argos for £129.99 for a pink base pack but the pink version is firmware version 2.81 which is no good (cant downgrade)

does anyone know any better deals?

Why cant the 2.81 be down graded? Why would you want to down grade?

Only i'm toying with the idea of getting one to use for browsing the net with, are they OK for browsing the net with?

its ok for web browsing, but the onscreen keyboard can be a bit of a pain in the @ss when you want to visit a site with a long name.

also the cache is only about 2mb so if you go to a website like ebay's homepage you will get "not enough memory" notes, and trust me they can be annoying

firmware 2.81 just has not been cracked yet

if you downgrade to 1.5 you can then load custom firmware (i think 3.03) which will let you use homebrew(snes games etc)

and will also let you play psone games full speed and you can even run games from a mem stick

you can also run games at 333mhz meaning better framerates

it basically makes the psp the best handheld system ever
