Where to find a choir?

Hi,
My friend is getting married and isn't have much joy in finding a choir for the church.
She's not fussed about whether it's men/women/mixed or children singing, so long as they are good!
Any ideas on where to find a choir? I've done a Google search for my area and I'm just not finding anything - although that could be me searching for the wrong key words!
Thanks

Is there a Rock Choir in your area? I sing in one of the Scottish Rock Choirs and we sang at a wedding in the summer. We do a mix of pop, gospel and motown and if there is one in your area then they might be able to do it (and probably wouldn't charge either).
The Choir locations should be on www.rockchoir.com

We phoned round some of the other churches in our area and asked if they would be willing to 'perform' at a different church.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

Thanks for the suggestions!
Should've mentioned she'd rather have a traditional choir, so may advise her to call round some other churches in the area.0 -
She should double-check with the organist of her church. If there is no choir at that church, the organist might well know of local choirs. It is also very bad form to organise music for church without first consulting the organist, even if they themselves do not get involved on the day.
Colleges often have choirs, especially those with music departments.0 -
Thank you!
She has asked at the church she's getting married at but as she's getting married on a Friday and the choristers all work full time she's not able to have them, which is a shame.
Hoepfully she finds something suitable!0 -
My brother used to sing in his school choir and they did heaps of weddings, although I suppose they probably didn't do fridays. Anyway might be an idea to try the local schools and see if they can help. he was at a private catholic school so was obviously good for religious weddings. The boys were up to 18 so some excellent deep voices, not just childrenso chpir.0
