Pay Increase

I'm due to receive a 3% pay increase, but all in one go. What will the OR have to say about that? Will they want it all or will they take into account that this should really be spread over 12 months? Any advice gratefully received.

  • Hey Lala. I have no advice to offer but was wondering how your doing?

Hey! I'm doing fine thanks, the calm after the storm some would say :-) How are things with you, good I hope?! I sometimes wonder what all the fuss was about, BR a very serious matter I'm not denying that, but it has been a pain free experience.. so far anyway x

Hi Lala, I'm not a 100% sure, but I do know as I'm sure you do how different some OR's deal with things!! Ring them and ask but have in mind what would help you too.......no harm in asking

  • Glad to hear it :) I'm still waiting to hear back from the OR about the statements and forms she asked me to sign and return. I rang the other day @ 4.30 as the curiousity was getting the better of me but she had gone home for the day. My partner said just to leave it til she rings me ''No news is good news and all that''. So I'm putting it to the back of my head til I receive a call.

I agree, it's a serious matter although it wasnt as painful as I thought either. :D xx

That's been quite a while hasn't it since you sent all that info. Maybe they are simply overstretched at the moment. I'm sure she will be in touch very soon though. I don't like to ring the OR, I feel like I am bugging them or feel I may be opening a can of worms lol :)

Thank If, I may just give them a call just to check, but I don't like bothering them, I am a little scared of them hehe. But I know that's what they are there for. I will let you know how I get on.

  • Hi Lala, do you have an email address for the OR? I found that emailing any questions I had worked better (as I was a bit scared of mine as well) and it meant they could reply when they were less busy. Also it means you have a record of what was said, if like me, you don't always take in everything they tell you.

    Good luck x
