A side note/question but does anyone have any tips on carving pumpkins? I have tried and failed (quite badly) two years running and now just want to get it right so I don't have "failed pumkin carver" replaying over in my head each October!! I use a proper knife made for vegetables, it is sharp but I just end up with the knife making cuts I didn't want...bits fall out all over the place....the insides show more then the candle and then when I try to even things out it ends up in a bigger mess.
I could just buy one if I really 'had' to have a made up pumkin. I do not. I just want to make one so I can tell myself I can do this!0 -

I'm not sure what size the standard pumpkin is in tesco but last year i bought a large and i would only consider this as a small/ standard. If you want a pumpkin for carving Asda have large pumpkins for £1.
I bought 2 yesterday and they are huge.Hello my name is nahteb20 and i am a T's Glitch & Bargainaholic.......0 -
Yes, people did complain last year as well saying that Tesco's ones were pretty small alright. Tesco were also claiming their pumpkins were large when in fact they were small compared to other stores.0
