I decant mine into "normal" sized jars, and keep the bigger bags all together in a lock and lock like Swan says. I rearranged mine yesterday actually - found a great sized tupperware which fits loads lengthwise so you can see what most of them are - you can read the label if that makes sense. Must geta pic uploaded
oh that sounds interesting, a pic would be good :)

I hope you have your Alfalfa stored in one ;):D :rotfl:

EDIT ... Maybe I should put up a pic of my drawers?

I like how uniform they all are now!! before i had to search for most but now i can clearly see. I have all my curry spices side by side. It's [STRIKE]bordering on[/STRIKE] OCD :o

Swan, i/m a bad girl. They're still on my to do list!!! you have shamed me into it!!!!!:o:p
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I'm totally OCD about mine, they have to have a label on the container & a matching (hopefully) one on the lid, in case of forgetfulness :o

not so OCD about the Alfalfa though, I'm good for a while & have lovely nutritious home grown salad at hand at all times, then I forget about a batch & end up with a terrible jungly thing that needs a machete to extricate it from the jar:rotfl:

Ha ha do you still eat it?

I arranged my friends herbs and spices. SHe kept them in a drawer, so i alphabetised them and wrote out matching labels for the top of each one - had them all in alphabetical order all lined up so she can read them. She thought it was genius but also nearly wet herself laughing!!!:D:rotfl::o Now every time i see it, i have the urge to turn them all the right way, and label the non label ones. She's so blimmin chaotic:eek::D

Sounds like we are similar in that way! :D

Feels so good to have mine organised - they had started to take on a whole new section of the cupboard . I also keep old jars I dont need and decant bigger ones into the little ones so i can store a jar sized amount and not always be opening the packs up - until it needs refilled. I have labels ready for them!!! :o

My only one on my cookbook shelf is my panchpuran which i made up myself. My first ever spice mix, so i was rather excited and it got pride place !!!:j:D:p

    The things we do eh?

well done you! you've got to be organised once you've got more than a few, otherwise chaos ensues  & we can't have that :naughty:

great feeling to make a mix of your own isn't it? :T
have you tried 'my' HM Fajita mix? it's quite similar to the Takeaway Secret one (I got it from a copycat site, it's Taco Bell's mix ... allegedly) & they both cost pennies as opposed to the price of one of those little supermarket packets

I used to roast whole spices, grind them up & make my own garam masalas & pastes, but I'm lazy, lazy, lazy these days :o

Glad I'm not the only one who has strange urges like that :rotfl:. Can't wait to get mine all organised, I'm fed up of being hit on the head by flying spices every time I want something!
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!

I keep mine in tupperware boxes in the freezer and top up little jars kept near the cooker as they run out.
