I missed it and it sounds like something I'd have enjoyed watching. They have some information and some of the recipes she's used throughout the series here
Her irish beef stew looks good .......may do that with Sunday's left over roast beef.

Oh really? didnt know that thanks. Yeh Ive never heard of her before, but I really liked her, for her basic way of explaining things, and recipes that you can easily follow0

I like her. Her recipes are so simple and look delicious. (And DH thinks she's lovely so it's the one cookery programme he doesn't mind me watching!)May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I bought this before christmas - broccoli soup with parmesan toasts goes down a treat in our house. Working my way through it - only thing is some of the recipes are for a LOT of people. So I'm going to have to sit and divide the quantities up. I can't trust myself to do it on the fly cos there's always something I forget to reduce."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Came across this programme by accident, too. Another programme has now taken its slot - great shame as I've really enjoyed watching it and it's the first time that I've ever tried out a recipe after watching a cookery programme (Colcannon was delicious):T:icotbaske0

I have been a fan of Rachel and I like recipes o be very easy and straightforward. I have tried to look for her in the internet but was not very successful. So, I bought her book "Rachel's favorite food at home"...it was one of the best recipe books I have ever bought! No regrests! and it is on discount at amazon(that's where I bought it...). Along with the jams and preserves that you could make as gifts there arealso some recipes fo scrummy biscuits, fudge and truffles...:pSealed Pot Challenge 2012 #1502:)

Hi all.
I'm a big fan of Rachel. She's getting quite popular here in Ireland. The Allen name is associated with great food here - her mother in law is Darina Allen a very famous cook who runs a very famous cookery school and restaurant, Ballymaloe House. http://www.ballymaloe.ie/index.php
Anyway, I found a link on our national TV's website which gives further information and some of Rachels' recipes for you to try out! http://www.rte.ie/tv/rachelsfavouritefood/interview.html0 -
Here's another link from UKTV food, some of the recipes look really yummy
