  • i feel for you OP i suffer with compressed vertabret midle spine, and damaged lower back from work, when i damaged lower spine i continued to work for 2 weeks lifteng bending a carrying heavy objects (thinking ive just pulled a muscle and its be easier to work through it rather than it seize up) it got to the point no matter what i did i couldnt move my lower limbs without severe pain pins and needles ( being male it made me impotent also how embaressing to admit but heck it was only temporary) i tried walkin g a short distance to my mums to pick car up for work i was in so much pain i felt sick and dizzy every time i moved one foot infront of the other, got in the house and then remember waking up to my mum shouting my name and on the phone to 999, i had collapsed with the pain knocked me a for a few mins, came round ambulance was there took me in, had a doc poke my back end (urr never again horrible feeling and verry painfull) then refure me for MRI, had the MRI the next day, discovered disc had ruptured inwards around my spinal chord had i left it any longer without anti inflamatories and tramadol (100mg every 2 hours through a drip) i could have squeezed my spinal chord resulting in temp or perminant peralasys of the lower limbs, was sent home after three days with loads of things to take complete bed rest for 6 weeks and another MRI, second MRI revealed the lower back to be perminantly damaged but the disc had healed away from the spinal chord (saved my legs) i now get severe back pain, pins and needles, pinched nurves, and have a perminant curveture (scoliosis) from the compression in the middle of my spine due to car accident several years ago, i lose the feeling in my legs on average days and bad days my legs give out from under me without warning repeatedly. there is a plus or negative side what ever way you want to look at it is that because ive been in pain for years my pain threshhold has risen drastically in the years also, so when i cut myself i dont feel it only notice the blood when im told im bleeding, bang my leg stump a toe trap a finger i dont feel it, ive eve dislocated my finger and didnt even notice untill my partner said my little fingers pointing the wrong way!!

i feel for you but you should go into A&E ASAP get your back scanned last thing you want is to make things worse by waiting like i did.
