Hi
My friend and I are in Edinburgh next Sat night staying near the Waterfront and just wondered if anyone could recommend a nice Italian/Scottish/European Restaurant to eat. Also is there a champagne bar in that location too? Many thanks

Hi
Thanks for the suggestions, had a look Tom Kitchen and looks v nice. Would like to stay down the Waterfront so would try Castle Town next time we are staying town. Would anyone recommend the Shore?0 -
The waterfront is the "shore" unless this is a new eaterie? Kitchins is near to Ocean Terminal, which in turn, has a few eating places located within.
If you can state roughly where abouts along the waterfront you will be residing, will certainly help to advise and, suggest where to eat!

Tom Kitchen is fully booked for next Saturday. We tried last week!0

I thought the Kitchen/Wishart places would be fully booked. We are staying in Pilrig Street and thought we could walk down Leith Walk (hope its not too far as we will have heels on) to the Waterfront for a nice glass of wine then a meal. Many thanks0

Not the nicest of walks, and a fair walk in heels. I am sure you will be able to jump on a bus.0

There's a number of great restaurants in the area. I'm not allowed to post links, have a look at list. co. uk. Within "your location" enter EH6 6QW, then search under food & drink, there's maps included in the reviews for each restaurant.
Enjoy :T0 -
For italian, its got to be La Favorita on Leith walk. The best Pizza in Edinburgh.
Theres 2 Pizza Express realtively close to you. 1 in ocean terminal & 1 near the shore
Agreed, for a special (expensive) occasion, you couldnt get better than Martin Wisharts, but unlikely to get a table at such short notice.
Can't think of any Champagne bars down that way. Theres always malmaison I suppose.0 -
giulianos on the shore is also lovely too!
