Is sister's partner telling the truth...need advice

Just wanted to write to ask some advice for those of you who know the CSA system better than me.
My sister has 4 children, she and the father of the youngest 2(aged 3 & 4) have just split up. She is living in a rented house and works shifts so she pays for rent, council tax etc etc all herself. She does receive tax credits also.
Her ex partner earns around £2000 a month (net £1500 per month), he has the boys two nights per week. He has told her today that he has contacted the CSA who have told him that as he has the boys two nights per week then he only needs to pay my sister £120 a month for both boys!! I am absolutely appalled by this and cant understand how £15 per week per child could possibly be enough when my sister is paying all her rent bills etc herself.
I think he has lied about her earning to the CSA? I have two questions
1. does this seem right to any of you who have experience of what ppl are entitled too?
2. If my sister went through the CSA can they find out what his earnings are, he is not self employed?
He has also told my sister that he would take a pay cut if the CSA "FLEECE HIM" ...i can only think of one word "Spineless!"
Any advice/guidance would be much appreciated!
cheers

According to the CSA calculator it'd be about £59 a week for both children. Yes, the CSA can contact his employer to find out exactly how much he earns.
Re the pay cut, well the only person who'd end up worse off would be him, cutting off your nose to spite your face springs to mind.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -
I assume that there are no children living with him at the moment (either his own or a new partner's children). If this is the case, then the formula is 20% of his income, less two sevenths because he has the children two nights a week (but it should be every week, or the equivilent to at least 104 nights a year).0

I made it £49 a week.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61
NSD : 2/80 -
He should be paying around £54.00 per week and of course they can find out how much he earns by approaching his employer even if li,e my ex he is self employed they went to the tax man for his earnings,,,0
