You should be good to go on your own, but the lender will ask whether there will be any adult occupiers and may do a background check on your partner regardless, especially if your records are linked at the credit reference agencies in any way.

Post Office lending criteria does say they are lighter on mobile/catalogue late payments, but I've never tested this.I am a mortgage broker.
