Thanks, OP! Actually, you may not want to put the bags in the rubbish. Since the bags are supposed to be thicker than Hefty, they'll probably be great for storing duvets, blankets, out-of-season clothes, etc. I used to use Hefty bags for lots of long-term storage, and you could really stuff them.:heart2::coffee::heart2:0

What happens if you follow this link that comes up when you submit for the ecobags:
http/ecobagpac.com/uk/clinique_sample.php Additional Sample: We'd like to invite you to grab a free sample of Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Lip Gloss! They have a bunch of deliciously beautiful colors, from rootbeer to ginger to grapefruit to mango, and you get to pick which one you want to sample! Participation required.

I didn't dare click, seemed a bit suspect to me! Especially the participation required bit.
Well, I missed the participation part and stupidly entered my details.
I assumed that because it had come up after accepting the bag offer, which was of 1st five offers listed in the weekly email, it must be ok.
Big mistake. I cancelled and quit the browser before entering all my details once I realised this was very dodgy. But not early enough to have stopped a blizzard of spam in the hours and days since. All highly suspicious stuff.
Its made me wary of the MSE website itself. If this prominently advertised offer had been checked out, why was this not picked up? Has this site outgrown its ability to offer quality control? If its going to be costing its user money and luring them into the hands of the unscrupulous then its a dead duck in the long run.0 -
The site has now disappeared, presumably after harvesting a lot of email addresses. Yet a moments thought would expose the dodgy nature of the proposition: a US company accepting UK "orders" for an "eco' bag that's only a "claimed" 25% recycled shipped all the way to the UK.
Now why would they do that with 250 million customers or so in the lower 48 states, eh?
Please report if you get anything more than spam as a result of giving your details.Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -

It was a scam. They probably made £10k from the email addresses they collected. You wont receive anything as they never had anything to offer. I'd be interested to see where the OP got the info from...0 -

It was featured in one of the weekly emails - do you think we were just inline for spam rather than bin bags then??0 -
