Dentist question

Hi All,

I visit an NHS dentist, when I last went she mentioned that my bridge is cracked, you can see the cracks in it when looking closely, last week one of the teeth chipped slightly so now I am worried, what I am asking is will I just pay the main NHS cost for it, or will I be charged whatever the Private costing is??? Also just another quick one, if I get the bridge replaced there is a slight gap because my gums have obviously shrank, will that be taken away with a new bridge fitting (hope this makes sense.....

thanks

We can't see you or your bridge so can't say.
However if the bridge is cracking it is normally because there is alot of stess on the bite there.

On the NHS it is by no means guaranteed you would get the bridge replaced because it has cracked. It is also not certain if it needed replacing it would be with a bridge again rather than a denture. You need to discuss this with your dentist.
