Evening all! Had a bit of a lazy day today - nice lie in and lunch at aunties house. Popped into wilkos on way home and got a few bargains - 3 x packets of Dr O - biscuit mixes reduced to 50p each - a few xmas decs and some crafty bits to put away for next year 25p each. Xmas kitchen roll pack of 2 for 50p grabbed the last few packs, also got some little boxes of chocs reduced from 1.99 to 25p so got 4. So happy with my bargains.:D
Made a batch of sausage rolls today which kids ate all of so have made another batch to be used for packed lunches. Popped to the spar an hour ago and got some baguettes reduced to 10p so got a few for lunches tomorrow:D
Got caught up on a few other jobs but a nice day all in all.

Busy morning caught up on some jobs need to go put the ironing away now. Sold 3 items on ebay and posted 1 today but was v naughty and spent 69p on a topic - which was lovely - I had forgotten how lovely they were lol!
Not much happening on the debt front - have upped my mortgage payments by £35 per month so hopefully will see it coming down a bit quicker now - fingers crossed.
4 more items listed on ebay so am hoping they do well - they end next saturday. Right am going to do a few other bits before school run - hope everyone is having a good frosty monday!;)

  • Well done on the ebay sales :) And on the bargains the other day! Always good to get bargains.
Great to being paying a little extra off the mortgage, think I will look into soon paying a little extra as every little will help when it comes to selling and having a little more equity! I really want (need) to move in a few yrs as we are outgrowing our house very quick :)

Hi Mummy ! - Yep we are starting to grow out of this house. We really need another bathroom (or two!:D), as we often have queues - usually when I am trying to have a bath!
Went to the boots sale yesterday and was very civillsed compared with some of the experiences others on here had. Spent £20 and got lots of lovely bits so am happy with that. Also managed to get DS a coat as have been wanting one for a while a nice warm one as his current one is very tatty. Managed to get one reduced to £30 and then there was another 20% off so £24 all in all and it fits and looks lovely.
Just managed to also get a few arty bits from mothercare as someone posted on the grabbit thread. Spent £5 but got loads of arty bits which my lot love!
Still in budget for the month - not in overdraft:D Freezers looking good and plenty to see us through to payday (just need fruit milk etc) which will be a week next tuesday - so am pleased with that. However the car needs back tyres so DH reckons that will cost £200 which I really dont have at the moment sometimes it feels like one step forward and 2 back there really is always something we need to pay for wonder if we will ever ever get a month when there's not???
Also DD1 trip needs to be paid for soon which is another £80 but am going to try and meet this through being careful with my weekly budget.
Hope everyone is well and not too chilly today x

Eek it's been a while hasn't it? Debt busting going well! Have sold lots on ebay making around £60. No been in our overdrafts and managed to get a few more hours at work. So lots of positives! :)
Have been really really lazy today and have done hardly anything (I need a rest:D). Haven't got too much housework to do so wont feel too guilty.
Going to start looking for some Easter egg bargains but only for family think I will get the children some little outdoor toys instead of more chocolate - as I am tempted to eat it all:eek:.

Hi all - well after a few months of some fab overtime and low spending we have managed to pay off the loan. The settlement figure was a fair bit less than we thought as apparently the interest was front loaded so we saved around another £1000:j We are therefore debt free - whoo hoo!!! It's been a long slog and really hard at times but so worth it and I still cant believe we did it!
So need to start with my next plan which is to get the savings back to £3000 and then I will start a diary on the mortgage free wannabe thread - i will post a link when I get sorted.
Thanks to all who have supported me and contributed to my diary and ramblings xxx
