how does this look?

Hello everyone, just after a bit of.advice please.

How does this deal seem? We stay in Dundee, I think it looks great but worrying about guests getting there and back etc, its only available for the next 30 hours and.unfortunately don't have time to check it out. Does anyone have any experience of this place?
My partner as usual has not much input and just tells me if that's where I want to get married then.go for.it!
Any help appreciated, thanka

i havent been but that is a very good deal, even with the surcharges for extra guests you get alot included in that package, it is quite a way away from dundee though and only you can gage how your guests would like it
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p
  • The OH and I are getting married in Chester, my family are from Lancs and his are from the Midlands, it'll take both parties around 1 and a half hours to get to the venue but because it's a special occasion and we've supplied them with details of hotels etc then they're willing to do it. Just make sure you give them a list of hotels e.g. Travelodge (which is normally v. cheap if you book it 30 days before).

If it's what you want, go for it. At the end of the day wherever you do the deed, you and your OH will be married :)

    Hopet this helps :)

groupon usually take a cut of about 60% of that so there should be room to negotiate a price if you ring them directly.

I had a brief look at it as a wedding venue but OH wasn't keen so it didn't go further than that. I love that area, the setting is just stunning looking across the loch, and great to have access to the boats to go for a wee sail. Also, I've been told by folk who go out for tea and a cake that the food is lovely. If I was getting married in Scotland I would definately get that groupon.

I should mention, for guests staying you're probably looking at Aberfoyle or Callander for hotels. Parking might also be a bit of an issue for that many folk so you'd maybe want to consider a coach for guests?

    Did you go for it?
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
  • Call them and explain your situation. Ask if they would be able to extend the deal for you if you went direct with them and arrange an appointment to go and view. Also worth a call to see if they have your preferred date available anyway! If they do say they can extend the offer to you, ask if they can email you confirmation of this!
