    Hi Mish,

When you do write, tell them everythink make it look worse than it is. that won't make any difference. THey will only look at the facts of the case. also tell them that you are now making time of the essense (these words are vital) and that you want a reply within 7 working days. You can try but it won't necessarily speed anything up. In order to do this you need to take your complaint to your MP. That usually works.
Personally i had lots of trouble with the csa, lost my case werent doing anythink ect ect.

So i wrote a letter to the centre manager, i will do a but of looking in a min and see if i can find anythink for you.... I actually got £90 compnesationof the CSA and a brill Case worker, who was put on it urgently because of the hassle i had got.

This case worker really was good and thankgod i now recieve payments every month.

If there is anythink you want to know please dont hesitate to ask i will.

My ex give up jobs twise to get out of paying so i know where your coming from.

What she needs to do is this:
    1. Ring on Monday and ask to speak to the HEO in charge of whomever is dealing with her case.

    2. Ask what has happened in respect of the complaints she has already made. They should have logged them and they are given a set period of time in which to clear it off their statistics - whether that be by fully clearing the complaint by dealing with it, or moving it forward. Either way there should be a record of the original complaint.

    3. Ask to speak with an accounts manager who can access the case and tell her the status. It may be that the account has been charged but no money has been received, or the money may have come in but not allocated yet. An accounts manager should easily be able to tell her. SHe needs to ask why a DEO has not been put on the case - at least they will check.

    4. Ask that notes are put on the notepad so that there is a record of all her calls to them.

    5. Check that they hold the correct details in respect of the NRP's work. Although they can't tell her anything, they can accept information from you and so if you tell them the details they can at least check to see that they hold the same details.

    6. Take notes of all names, especially the manager and tell them that she is writing to her MP.

    7. Write to the MP explaining everything in detail. Copy the same letter to the CSA and send it recorded delivery and then check 2 days later to see it has been signed for.

Good luck. PM me once you have got the details unless you are satisfied with their response to you.
  • Thanks Kelloggs for advice on when CSA will move to new scheme. Sorry to highjack your thread Mish. We have a council house that we are thinking of buying. If we do & ask for a reassesment on grounds of increased housing costs would they access us on old scheme (the one he is already on) or the new one? If they keep us on the old one that would probably work in our favour coz our mortgage would be a lot more than our rent.

It would be on the existing scheme as they will only change you over if the PWC has a new claim against another NRP (but Krashvir has had problems with this) or they get round to changing. Bear in mind that if they do change, they won't be taking housing costs into account, so you may lose out then. They also look at mortgages in different ways, but they do allow both capital and interest to be offset against your partner's income before deciding how much maintenance he should pay, but then they only allow the interest payments in the protected income part of the calculation, so it may not make any difference. I could give you an idea but I would need details of your existing assessment and then the breakdown of housing costs for the mortgage to be able to do this. If you want to, feel free to PM me.
