Science book for a 7 year old

It's DD1's 7th birthday and she is really into science we got her an electronics set for christmas but she wants to do some more experiments like bicarb boats, rockets that sort of thing.
Can anyone recomend a book?

I would have a look at The Book People. We had the Usbourne Book of Science dropped off at work last week for about £6 - it looked fantastic. I'm not too sure if it had actual experiments in it but it was a great science book.

A quick look shows they also have a set of 10 Kingfisher Books for £10 as well.

My 6 year old loves science as well. We picked up a magnet set from Tesco in the sales - it was £2.50 and he really loves it.
