  • I'm impressed with my plans this year.

Hubbys bday is 20th Nov and I usually go with the thing of, once his bday has passed then I start xmas shopping.

    Not this time.

    I started looking in Sept.

My parents + sister visited from Australia for the 1st time this Aug (I moved here from Australia 8 years ago) so I jumped onto ebay to look for scrapbooks.

    So far have got:

Mum/dad joint pressie: England holiday scrapbook
Sister: England holiday scrapbook + locket bracelet (hers completed)
    Brother in law: ?
Dad: Tiger woods golf game (got to get it but at least know what I am getting)
    Mum: ?

(these are priority as want to get them posted by beginning of Nov)

Mother in law: Radley purse (no cost to us as received two awhile back & decided to use this one as a gift rather than sell it)
    Father in law: ?
    Hubby?

Thats all the family I have to concentrate on. But at the moment loving it as feeling no pressure not like I usually do as am usually rushing about.
Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 2016
  • Can I be the first to say i'm nearly done:D

I went out and bought a lovely toiletries set reduced from £24.00 to £14.00 in BHS this morning and a lovely tin of biscuits from M&Sfor my next door neighbour.

This has been put in a cupboard with the rest of the presents . I think it's only my 3 children getting the rest of theirs done and finished.
Capital one was £1000.00 now £0.00:j
    Barclaycard was £250.00 now £190. 00
Asda credit card was £500.00 now £0.00:j
Aim to be credit card free by December 2012... Mostly done
  • Completely finished shopping last week. Includes son, hubby, lots of nieces and nephews and parents/ in laws.

Just have to start on the yummy christmas food shopping :-D

I love christmas. We have already decorated pine cones for the tree and baked the salt dough decorations; we are going to decorate them nearer christmas

I have also already got my hubbys 1st wedding anniversary pressie for 17th december lol

Started my christmas shopping online last night, this is the earliest I have ever started! Decided I could do without the last minute panic this year (and ending up buying rubbish presents for people as no time to think of anything else).

Got a pair of the Cath Kidston wellies from ASOS for my sister and two little CK themed presents for my mum. Better get my thinking cap on.
    £2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit :)) - £588

Well I have the santa presents bought and hopefully will try to get some of most of the other family presents over the next few weeks at my leisure as off on mat leave now. I am not worrying too much and hopefully will manage to get the shopping done in the next 2-3weeks as due new baby mid-end November and will be busy with this as well as dealing with DD, otherwise its vouchers. Paper and xmas cards were bought in January.

I have made a dent in my presents to buy now, I have three children and have all the gifts for one, most for the second one and I know what I want for the third, just need to get it. I know what I want to buy DH and for our parents we are making hampers for the first time as I have been so inspired by all the threads on here :) Also giving homemade stuff a go, going to do a jam, chutney and christmas cake, oh and a fudge too. Which for me, is a big deal! So not domesticated! I aim to have all the presents by end of November and will begin wrapping the ones I do have soon. I only send cards to family members, so they get done first week in December. Ah yes, I am going to make a little christmas eve hamper too, had never heard of them until yesterday on here, but I know my kids will love them, so just after some christmassy pjs and things for snowman cones.

Eek, that sounds like alot actually!!!
  • Day off work today so just got all my presents out of the wardrobe and written down everything I've got so far!!
Am really pleased with my stash, things I'd forgotten about but pleased I've got :)

I am now starting a spreadsheet with everything I've got and everything to get so I can start to see progress as I finish off my shopping! ;)

(Does anyone on here work at m&s please.... I am awaiting the 2 for 1 on jams and chutneys again this year. They do it every year and I always put them in grandparents hamper, last year it was end of Oct just wondered if anyone knew when it would be this year. Thanks)
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)

Just over 7 now, the time is flying! :)

Have the presents that need posting sent (I know, I know - mega early) and have given my brother the presents for him and SIL and her parents/sisters/Sisters husband and baby etc for him to hand out so have much more room.

Have also had one of the 2 outstanding birthdays so the pressure is off more there - and I have stuff for mum, grandad and the dogs - just need to get some more bits to finish off and then all done present wise.
