sorry to jump in got a question for you all got my loan statement the other month from welcome when i looked at my payment the interest they were chargin me was more than the amount i was paying (£374 per month interest £394) when i phoned and ask why they guy at the office didnt know why as id never missed a payment since i had the loan i sent a letter to the head office but ive not heard anything back. the only reason they could give me for having the large payment was i must have missed a payment but looking at my account he seen i never had. What should i do next apart from send another letter (recorded) ?0

You'll get nowhere with Welcome, especially at the branch. I would recommend sending a subject access request to their head office, this costs £10. It'll provide all the information they have on you, so you can see for yourself what's going on.

Was wondering it anyone can tell me if I can reclaim the ppi from Welcome & how to go about it ie claim myself or use a legal firm to do it.

I've seperated from the ex wife - gave her the car which i foolishly left in my name, to cut a long story short just got a letter saying i owe them £1000 the ex didn't pay the car off but sold it on - finance still in my name . Can I still put a claim in even though I have monies outstandig on the car ??? any suggestions. Thanks0 -

Send them a letter by special delivery saying you have been mis sold PII's and if they don't sort it out you will go to court and claim it back plus compensation. If you can quote the loan numbers you are claiming back on. They sent me a complaint form which I signed and all I wrote on it was you have all my information so please sort it out, they did and sent me £4500 less £1000 to cover what I owed them, be persistant and it does pay off, refuse to take their calls and do it by letter, keep a copy of everything you send and send all by special delivery as they try to deny receiving mail. Good luck xx0 -
Search for my thread, you will see what I did and it worked for me, got to be worth a shot, use the Ruddington address and send no money to them I never did. Hope this helps all xx0

By the way Welcome have now set up a speicla department to deal with the refunds of PPI so they must be getting the message that they aren't going to get away with it x0
