MTV Tickets at City Hall

Hiya,

This is a bit of a cheeky request but if anyone managed to get these tickets this morning and are unable to use them I would love to take them off your hands.

I tried on my laptop, hubby on his phone internet, me on house phone, mum on her mobile and house phone and didn't manage to get through once, until the tickets were all given away.

Hoping someone got 4 but only wanted 2. If anyone has 2 or 3 spare I would be so grateful.

I've been trying from 7.45 to get these and had no luck, can't even find the link on the http://www.gotobelfast.com/ site - absolute nightmare took over an hr for the homepage to load up. been on the phone as well constantly engaged, is it confirmed that all tickets are gone?

I thought you had to go down to get them. They were checking ID for under 16s. My son and his mate were there at 4am complete with sandwiches and coffee and DS got in 20 mins ago and has gone straight to bed. :j

The article I read in the BT stated they'd be available online or by phone as well. Tempted to email my progress (or lack of) screenshots with a complaint to see if it gets me any joy

I'm sure someone will be selling them on eBay or gumtree. Hope there's rules to stop them making huge money from free tickets.

I brought my two neices at 4oclock this morning to queue up and the queue at that stage was already from thr front of boots to primark and right round to back of Boots. Have to say crowd control was really bad, hardly any stewards and at one stage really thought we were going to get crushed in the crowd as it surged forward. police finally stepped in about 7.30 and a few arrests were made. As far as im aware due to thousand who queued all tickets went at the Welcome centre and none were sold on phone or internet. They were really strict with under 16's as well asking for ID so think it unlikely there will be any left but know my neice has already been offerred £30 each (of course no plans to sell or share the money with me for standing with her if she did lol!!!)
Good luck anyway!They didn't even ask how many tickets you wanted - just gave 4 to each person so you may touch lucky

I hope you manage to get some - its crazy that they were giving away 4 per person, surely 2 would have been enough to allow more people to have a chance at getting tickets!

I managed to get tickets this morning on the internet without much difficulty. I think the problem was that most people were trying to get on to the Belfast visitors centre home page, which was really busy, whereas if you'd searched for the visitors centre ticket sales, this would have taken you directly to the ticket sales web page, which wasn't busy.

Some people are trying to sell them on ebay now, but asking silly money...at one point there was some up to £130, or buy it now for £350. Think they have been removed though...

We are going to head up that night and see how close they let us get, maybe sit at the Art College and listen to it anyway...lol...xx
