wage arrestment but debt not being paid!!! what can i do???

Hi, me and my ex wife split up 5 years ago we had a joint loan at the time which we split 50/50. there was a minute of agreement written up so that if one of us didnt pay the other could go through the courts for it. i stupidly didnt pay and have been getting my wages arrested for the past 2 years. I have now jut found out that although she is arresting my wages for upto £240 pounds a month, she is only paying the minimum payment due, which is £89. and more recently i have found out she has also missed some payments and the account is in arrears. she had paid off all of her half of the debt in a lump some before the wage arrestment started but now i have the creditors calling me about the arrears. I have tried to explain to them that my wages are already being arrested for this debt, but they say thee agreement between me and my ex is nothing to do with them and we are both still lyable for the debt.

Can i get the arrestment stopped, i would be happy to pay the £89 a month myself as this would save me money. how do i get my ex to pay the amount that has already been payed to her through the arrestment as obviously the intrest is still building up on the debt???? HELP:mad:
